Booking a limousine is a very good idea when it comes to matric farewells, 21st birthdays, weddings or even just a night out on the town for you and a few friends. This way you don’t have to worry about transportation and you are travelling in style to make the evening even more special. But the question is how do you go about booking the right limousine for yourself?
Here are 12 steps to booking the right vehicle for your event:

• The most reputable limousine company
  When looking for a limousine company to use make sure you do some homework on the companies and see what other people say. Give them all a call and enquire about their service and if they offer any added extra’s to make your experience more magical. Also enquire about any specials and packages that they may have.
• Prepare the details of your event
  Get all the event details together before booking for example date, time it begins, time it ends, type of event (this can affect the type of vehicle you are wanting to book), address and then also the pickup address and if you are having one central pickup or different pick up areas.
• How many people are accompanying you
  Contact all the people you would like to come with you in your limousine so you can get an estimate of how many people you need to fit in the limousine. This will affect the size of the limousine or you might have to hire a party bus instead if it is quite a lot of people.
• Decide on a vehicle
  Once you have the amount of people and know what kind of event you are attending you can decide on a vehicle for your transportation. You can choose from 8 seater to 18 seater limos. Or if you want to go for something a lot bigger you can choose from 16 seater party buses all the way up to 50 seater party buses.

• Ask about music
  Make sure you ask about music and if you can bring your own music to be played. Sometimes you just want to create a bit of an atmosphere before the event. Most places will allow you to bring your own music.
• Ask about Alcohol
  When booking a limousine or a party bus most places give you a bottle of complimentary sparkling wine but also make sure you ask if you can bring your own alcohol.
• Enquire about any extra fees
  Make sure you ask if there will be any extra fees for instance if you are running later than you booked to leave and they need to wait, there might be a late fee.
• Cancellation
  Some limousine companies have a cancellation so if you cancel within a certain amount of days or hours of the booking you might lose your deposit so make sure you enquire about this.
• Tipping
  Make sure you also ask about tipping, if the tip is included in the price or if you should tip the driver afterwards.
• Book early
  Make sure you book a few weeks before the event to make sure you get the booking and you get the vehicle you want. If you leave it till too late you might not get a booking or get a vehicle that does not suit your needs at all. So book early.
• Call a few days before event to confirm
  If you do book early just maybe give the limousine company a call a few days before the booking just to make sure everything is sorted on their side.
• Call on the day to confirm booking
  And then just one more check a few hours before the pickup won’t hurt especially if it is your weeding day and everything needs to go smoothly. You probably won’t need to do this as they will be ready and waiting but to ease your mind on your special day.
